Zircon Jewelry

Zircon is the oldest gemstone on Earth, with some specimens dating back 4.4 billion years. Considering that Earth formed 4.56 billion years ago, this gem represents the earliest record of the planet’s crust. Blue zircon is especially valued by collectors for its rarity, brilliance, high refractive index and excellent fire. It also has a dispersion rating nearly as high as a diamond.
